Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

DJ YELLOW - SAVOY - THIS FRIDAY

    DOORS 11PM. €12

Alain Ho (aka DJ YELLOW), has been working as a dj since the beginning of the 80's. Since 1985/1986 he has been mixing at the some of the most famous clubs throughout Paris such as "Bains Douche", "The Palace", "The Globo" as well as during the Mystic parties at the funk disco "Roger". Because of the influence of funk and jazz music, he began to develop a huge collection of music which soon helped him create the Brazilian rhythm he would later become famous for. At the end of the 80's when HipHop just started in Paris, he began to embrace the sound and flavor of this rough and so different music. With an opportunity to expose his unique style, he played one of the first HipHop records from a French artist and because of this, soon after was known throughout the Parisian club scene as "The HipHop-DJ". But to be considered one of the France's leading djs wasn't enough for DJ YELLOW. Gaining a better knowledge and understanding of the music business, he and his good friend BOB SINCLAR, formed the label "Yellow Productions". Beginning solely as an underground label, DJ YELLOW began to receive major recognition for his sound. This reputation turned "Yellow Productions" into one of the most successful and respected labels in Europe. He would later sign producers such as Dimitri From Paris, Kid Loco, Mighty Bob, Bang-Bang, Shazz, Joe Claussel, BOB SINCLAR, Blaze, Julius Papp, Romatt to the label. He also has licences with Master At Work and many other well respected producers of the world. Also to his credit, DJ YELLOW assisted BOB SINCLAR with his "Paradise Project" which with its funky 70's disco style, immediately became a big success on the dancefloors throughout the world. This album included the smash hit "Gym Tonic".

DJ YELLOW has always had his finger on the pulse of the club scene thus prompting him to release the first of many to come, Bossa Tres Jazz tracks on his "Yellow Productions" label. He signed artist "Salome de Bahia" and has collaborated with Master At Work, DJ Gregory, Martin Solveig, Tom and Joyce and many other super producers. He became known for his connection of music between Brazil, Japan and Paris. He loves to work with producers and artists who have the same vision and passion for music as he has. The big hit "Outro Lugar" by SalomŽ de Bahia proofs him right.

If he's in your area, look out for his DJ-set and you'll personally see his passion and love for the hottest funky and jazzy tracks known though out clubs world wide. DJ YELLOW and Yellow Productions will always be considered the best at what they do!
