Esat BB Probs on Blanch Exchange

I'm on the Blanchardstown exchange and I'm with IOLBB and all night I've been losing connection, have had erratic pings and some loss. Pings spiking up to 150-180 all the time only to correct itself after a while, then losing connection and the process repeating itself.

Anyone else having the same or similar problems?

Nothing you can do really - a lot of problems are beiing caused by the speed increases and upgrades taking place. It's a shut up and put up situation, I'm afraid! :rolleyes:

I'm on blanch too. It's erratic but I've got a good connection for the moment. Tips:

1. Make sure you're using PPPoE with VCI.

2. Keep reseting your router till you get a good connection.

3. Read the big topics about the upgrades, they explain a lot.

There was something else but I forget...

[EDIT:] Oh yeah, you shouldn't be loosing your connection. Maybe it's just the DNS messing up. Change your DNS setting (in Windows) to the following (as apposed to automaticly detect):

Primary: 195.218.116.2 - which is UTV's DNS
Secondary: 159.134.237.6 - which is eircoms DNS server

or whatever order...
