May be buyin one of these 1.8 version ltr..can anyone give me any things to watch out for when buyin one second hand? Are parts expensive?

The only thing I can think of is to make sure the cylinder coils have been replaced. This was a major recall for VW on the 1.8 20 valve engine across their whole range.

A 95 car should have had it done at this stage but you never know. Replacing these coils is time consuming and can be expensive.
