Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Drugs then?

You'll have to ask at the post office, or ask your postman next time you see him. I'm pretty sure it can be done though.

You can put something on the package and the PO will keep it. It's in my Junior Cert Business Book.

    From my Business Book:
Letters and parcels may be sent to a post office with the words "Poste Restante" in the address. These items will be kept in the post office for two weeks until they are collected by the person named in the address

    Sorted

If the parcel won't fit in your mailbox, then the postman will automatically take it back and store it in the post office. They'll leave you a docket to take down to retrieve it.

You put the words "Poste Restante" on. See edited post above

Well anytime I have something del. if they can't fit it in the letterbox, they just take it back to the post office and leave a note telling you collect it. Do that TBH.

I used to get it done all the time, you don't even have to ring the post office beforehand.

    have it delivered to

    joe bloggs
    c/o "town" post office
    etc
    etc

Then just ring up when you expect it to be delivered, they will just hang on to it. it is formally spelled out how to do it in the post office and is free. you may need to bring ID though I was never asked.

Not quite correct. They bring it back to the local *sorting office*, not the local post office. Mine gets brought to the churchtown one. and it's only open 9-5 Mon - Fri, which is a pain in the a$$ to be honest. Nowadays I just get it all delivered to work, cos I'm there all day, and if I'm not, there's someone on the desk to take it in for me.

I think it's actually 7am-5pm, which isn't quite as bad. That's the opening times for my local sorting office anyway..
