ComReg places obligations on Vodafone and O2
to allow for more competition in the mobile
    phone market
ComReg today published the obligations it is placing on Vodafone and O2 in order
to introduce more competition into the mobile phone market.
Following a review of the mobile market, ComReg found that Vodafone and O2
have Significant Market Power (SMP) in the market for wholesale mobile access
    and call origination.
ComReg is imposing an immediate obligation on Vodafone and O2 requiring them
to provide access to other companies on their networks.

    When will this happen?

When can we expect to see MVNOs in Ireland?

If it takes half as long as it did to get Eircon to sort themselves out then we're in for a long wait...

089 is coming very soon, a company called clear or clever communications got the contract. i think eventually meteor will be bought out by eircom as eircom have alot of interest in meteor at the moment.
well hopewe all get the benifit of cheaper calls.

Niall Norton is the man behind Clever Communications, who's having
    the 089 batch.

www.clevercommunications.ie is already up, but nothing there yet..

    Very interesting developments to come!

Anyone knows what net they will hire in?
