    Cool. Music. Anyone do that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,745 ✭✭✭doonothing

wow... a ctyi music course, id love that.
betcha they bring it back next year, specifically with the express purpose of spiting me...

  • Registered Users Posts: 149 ✭✭twirly sponge

I asked someone about music last year, I can't remember who, it might've been Sheila. She said that there'd be too much of a range in how much knowledge of music people already have that it wouldn't work very well or something.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,745 ✭✭✭doonothing

yeah, i put a music course thingamy down on the form thingamy at the end of the session for what courses you'd like to see next year and what not..

but if it was like, a mixture of songwriting and performing or something... and you got to write and play different styles each day/class/week... and do all funky beats on the pc for some tecnomological musicianship...

    and...yeah

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

They'd probably have... beginners theory or something if anything, which'd suck for me or anyone who does music theory anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,745 ✭✭✭doonothing

i guess... but if there was like, a begginners class while experienced folk write songs collectively... and vice versa and what not..
    no?

Your list for 2000 isn't complete Raph, neither of the courses I did were there... Literature, Drama and Writing and Classics.

    Really? Damnit!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 281 ✭✭Stephen Forde

such carelessness by a perfectionest like yourself raphael!!
I find it funny to look at the name of some of the courses like "Decision Maths" which changed to "Discrete Maths" and "Evolutionary Economics". It almost makes you want to to them just to find out what the hell there all about.I mean how the **** can Maths be deiscrete in any way

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,880 ✭✭✭Raphael

In terms of maths a discrete set is out which is finite or countable. If you're going to bitch, know what you're bitching about

And there I always thought it was a bunch of people doing maths under a table or something, trying not to be too obvious....
