Iol Upgrade is a Downgrade

    I can't belive i'm getting 30.00kb/s
    On the 3/04/05 i was getting 500kb/s
    And I'm on broadband +

    500kb/s is impossible on a 2mbit line.

    I know you can't but it started there and then went to 226kb/s(Obviously)

    Hi,

    I think samtheman means he's getting 3KB/sec or 30KB/sec instead of the regular 55KB/sec. If you are having such problems after the speed upgrade, just call IOL BB, especially if you're using the modem they supplied. Have you been on to them already?

    try rebooting your router, if that does work, yeah contact iol.

    Fixed the normal downloads (Router) but bittorrent still 6kB/s

    That's because you don't know how to use bittorrent. First open ports, then make sure the torrent has seeds...many seeds.

    Giblet is there much changing to be done on the default settings of .. say azueris . I looked at this earlier today as I was curious as to why my tornts always had yellow smilies and never green beside them. Found out it was a "NAT" problem and I will tinker with the port settings tonight.
    Any suggestions ?

    I was told by a customer care rep to send a e-mail to finalise the upgrade
    of my iolbb+ line . im currently connecting at 1024 and was told that by
    sending this e-mail i would be able to be upgraded to the 2048 without any
    probloms

    basicly wait 10 days ( think there is 7 left )

    but on the torrents thing . i couldnt get good speeds with my router at all dlink 504 and i couldnt get a firmware upgrade to work on it so i just went out and bought a new one . which after switching ports around worked a treat
