    Hey guys,

I'm looking to get some cat5 shielded cabling (STP) and looking on elara.ie at the moment (since nobody seems to stock the stuff in Dublin, despite what they say on the phone *cough itdirect cough*) for 10m lengths.

What is the difference between STP, 'snagless' STP, & Halogen-Free STP cabling?

I'm guessing for snagless it's to do with the material the cable is made of to stop it pinching up into those irritating little loops it likes to make, but what exactly is Halogen-Free STP and what does it do above standard STP cabling?

Failing that, there's some double-shielded cabling on offer too ;)
