Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Derry City v Shelbourne

Having won their opening two games, Derry anticipate a full house at the Brandywell for their first home game of the season against the champions.

Boss Stephen Kenny waits on left-back Sean Hargan (knee), but remains without Stephen O'Flynn (virus) and Barry Molloy and Kevin Derry, both of whom have knee injuries.

Richie Baker, sent off last week, is banned for Shels while Alan Moore (calf) remains out.

Glen Fitzpatrick, Bobby Ryan and Joseph Ndo are back in full training and main come into the squad.
Ndo is back :D Earlier than I thought which is great to see. I dont know if we can get a win up there in the brandywell. Fingers crossed.

Are any matches being shown tonight on the telly ?

Don't think there's any matches live for a while. :( Doubt Ndo is totally fit yet, might make the bench, but that'd be it, and honestly I can'y see that! But when he is! :D:D:D

We need a win hopefully Harps have a soft midfield then we can look all fancy and play nice ball, if they dont Keith "houdini "Fahey wont get a look in. And we be doing well to score.

They be doing well to score if we defend the way we did vs Bohs.

Athlone are playing Monaghan at home tonight, we should beat them and go back to second in the league.

    Here's hoping!

Drogs one up at Bray. O Brien on 13 mins.

    Scoreless everywhere else AFAIK.

Bray equalise, still 0-0 everywhere else. Shels have had chances in the Brandywell though and seem to be playing well, but Derry have had their chances too. Doesn't seem to be much action at the RSC.

Waterford 1-0 Bohemians, not quite sure on the scorer, Murphy or an own goal, not sure who got the final touch.
St Pats 1-0 Finn Harps, Ger Rowe has scored for them, must have been the first attack of the second half there.

Derry and Shels seems end to end stuff, very entertaining for a 0-0

Drogheda have scored, O'Brien again, so they're 2-1 up away to Bray

Paisley gets his second goal in two games, Longford 1-0 up in Dalymount park against Rovers

Ken Oman sent off for Bohs, and to compound their misrery old boy Willie Doyle sticks a free kick from around 27 yards out straight into the back of the net. 2-0 to Waterford, and three minutes of injury time left.

Bray have equalised through Fox and Longford have another in Dalymount through Dessie Baker

And full time at the RSC

Shels and Cork both FT drawing I think, which puts Waterford top of the table I think.

Didnt bother going tot he City game tonight as I knew the result was inevitable. From what Ive been told, it was a terrible game. City created pretty much nothing, and deservedly got booed off at full time. Funniest thing is, is that the boo boys are the very same guys who caused fights last season with people who booed a crap performance

Finn Harps are fcuked and the scoreline flattered them, if we had an out an out striker god knows what score it would have been.

Sufice to say them having a ball boy in midfield (god hes tiny) led to fahey and our midfield ripping them apart time and time again only for when the killer ballw as about to be released noone there to give it to.

Had 2 goals disallowed and a Harps player not sent off for raising a hand, odd game happy enough with a win but playing well against apoor poor side we should ahve had more.

Rowes goal was decent one on one lobbed keeper. Foley header from a corner.

Happy enough with the away draw for Shels:)

Thank god Cork only drew, and at home to UCD too, nice one.

And Ger Rowe  fair play to him.

Hopefully he can get some good experience with Pat's, he won't be playing next week, I take it you'll be in Tolka KdjaC.

Don't forget Kick Off in Tolka this season is 8.00, not 7.45, does that help you any?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,346 ✭✭✭✭KdjaCL

I have to see if i get off early be nice to see us get our 1st 3 points in a Dublin Derby.

If we defend as we are at home we wont concede just lack of striker makes it hard to score doubt we get much away.
