They can vary by about a week but they would most likely be either on or just over on the 12th. Why do you ask.

Yeah according to the old engineering timetable, supplementals start the 12th of September (monday) and finish on the 23rd (Friday). There are now 6 weeks til summer exams start which is plenty of time!

It's Monday 12th to Friday 23rd for sure. So bear that in mind when booking holidays! The timetable will not be published until August or so, but exams won't take place outside of those times....

    However.

it's definitely not too late to start studying and scrape a pass in Jf sci regardless of how fkuced u think you are.

Yeah, it sucks. But missing summer sucks. I've spent far too much time in college around the August/September phase to know this! I had to cancel my holiday to Corfu in 1st year, which really really sucked. So its all relative really!

Try and start doing a small bit over the next few weeks, and you'll have a great non-studying summer ahead of you.

Sure you'll be installed here from July onwards!

But in 3 and half weeks you'll be completely finished college for good and all your hard work will have paid off! you probably won't ever have to study that hard again either!

btw arts students have to write millions of essays so they have to work the whole year through (with constant deadlines etc), continous assessment isn't as fun as it sounds!

mind you they don't have as long hours as science/ or engineering ....

I’m not an arts student. I get both long essays and exams at the end of the year.

My friend is in psychology and she got 2x 15,000 word essays to do over Christmas, and I’m sure if she could choose she'd pick a 2/3-hour exam instead of whiling away Christmas in the library. For essays you have to be pretty good at English as well, and not just your chosen field of study, that’s why i don't like them, because they don't necessarily test what you know.

My only consolation is that I have no thesis/final year project to do......

    makes life a bit easier!

i'd say doing a thesis is quite stressful, how long are they supposed to be?

Avoid the S Club if at all possible. yes, the library is nice and quiet during the summer and all the books have reappeared on the shelves, but having to study while everyone else is travelling/drinking/having long summer evening barbeques is the second worst thing ever.

The worst thing ever is the Super S Club...

    Supplemental Examinations

The Supplemental Examination Session 2004 commences Monday 6th September 2004 and ends Friday 17th September 2004. Timetables will be posted on the relevant noticeboards in the ground floor concourse of the East End Building.

    Publication Dates

THE ONUS LIES ON EACH STUDENT TO ESTABLISH THE DATES OF EXAMINATIONS BY CONSULTING THE NOTICEBOARDS. NO TIMETABLE OR REMINDER WILL BE SENT TO INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS."

Do, do, do go to all your lectures for the rest of the term. As numbers drop off in lectures the lecturers spend more time (sometimes, but esp maths) going over the exam papers and the type of questions that come up on them.
