Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey there

Is there any possible way that someone can hack into your wireless network? Is there anyway to protect it? I have Mac OX.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply Agent Smith! Don't mean to sound like a total sap, (but I do!) but how do you check if you have a password?!!! My brother set up the system!

Are you using an Apple Airport Basestation?

    If you are:

In you 'Applications' folder there is a folder called 'Utilities'

In there you will find the 'Airport Admin Utility' Launch it and select the your Airport Basesation. It will ask for a password. The defualt password is 'public' if typing this in works, then you're not very secure at all.

If you do get in to the admin settings for the basestation, then the first tap will have a heading for secuirity. Idealy it should be set up to something like 128bit WEP. If it is not enabled, you can easilly set up a password here. Also be sure to set up a password for the Basestation itself.
