I know there are nerves on the outside, but inside the tongue there are very few nerves and it's almost devoid of feeling as far as I know.

Hey,
Have had my tongue pierced 3 times, just make sure that when you get it re-pierced that they don't pierce the scar tissue of the last piercing or it will never fully heal and will be easily irrated....eg curries are not good.....And they can close up in an hour or it can sometimes take a week.

Ok, does it hurt more or less than an ear piercing??? I think the people want to know if it's worth the pain

any piercing/tattoo should be worth the pain. if you really want it. pain is not an issue.

I was kinda dissapointed when I did my tounge piercing, I didn't feel a thing.
A good piercer now exatcly how to "stick" you.

My Navel piercing did hurt, a "pop" sound when the skin was pierced.

The piercing that I felt most pain in was my nipple. The pain was so intense..

Havent done a P.A yet...

But as Charon said, I've had mine for 4 years and my parents still havent noticed it.
After a year I strecthed mine to a 2.4g just because I thought it looked better.

Feels weird in my mouth to be honest my tongue has a brain of its own and keeps tryin to swallow it , can be uncomfy at times but hey only got it done 1 hour ago

I just got mine done!! So happy it didn't hurt at all, the mouthwash was the worst part but I'm delighted, spent years thinking about it. Who cares if the leaving's in 4 days... Oh and I never knew I had such a drool capacity! Heheh..

Aw well if you get it done during the summer they're not very easily noticed.. I say go for it!! Yeah I drooled all over Carol's arm.. oops.. she let me know afterwards, and I'd a lovely patch on my left jeans leg (just sharing the gloop) You'll be healed in no time and go head girl. I never have to go to school again then again I woke up this morning and discovered I have no tongue healing friendly food.. balls.. But I've legions of ice cubes!

The Mother Never Needs to Know... *shifty eyed look* the family are away til tomorrow evening y'see so I've optimum healing time! She's very observant but I'll hope for the best. Plus I've actually been eating way more than normal just cos I thought I wouldn't be able to.. But I can ! It's so much fun! Yep Tattoo Zoo. She was so sound I had to beg her to do it cos she was finishing up but I was late. Damn LC though.. I'll play with it during the exams!

Oooo next one.. dunno yet!! But I'm fast becoming addicted! Mine didn't even swell a little bit, I kept waiting for it to and being afraid it'd swell in the middle of the night but I dunno I was just lucky. And did drink lots of icey water (brainfreeze) I did eat just ice cream and ice cubes for a few hours but then ..... got hungry... damn tendency.. And I've been back eating perfectly normally since about 9pm on Saturday, pretty good considering I got it done at 5. Back to the studymobile Batman! (Ooh, Batman- can you say anticipation!!! Gonna be amazing.. Better than Sin City which was unbelievable and full of the hot people- k gotta stop wasting time)

my piercin is now too big for me , and im starting to play with it i think i chipped my tooth in the nigh to be hnest must go back and get a asmaller one ... i love th reaction when im working and i stick out my tongue messing .. heheh well worth it hell i love it

Hi, I've had my tongue pierced twice. First time I did it, twas in for a year no problems, it was loose and it fell out, couldn't find it, and it closed up pretty fast. It wont close up in an hour though so I'd say work away with the martial arts.
