I think Dublin is just windy in general. Never seems to stop out in Lucan.

I would be in favour of splitting the motors into the likes of:-
    motors general
    bikes
    car technical
    classic cars
cars for sale [currently situated under the for sale but no harm having a link in the motors menu]

I agree, there should be a bikes forum

Probably should be a bikes forum, but something I can't help think is that it is good to have car and bike content mixed here so owners of each type of vehicle get to see the attitudes or learn about other road users..

People who are solely car owners will never read a Bike board, but they will probably read some bike posts that appear on a motors board..

Well a thread with a general topic that apply's to both should still be in the motors forum, someone who's just into cars wouldn't bother to go to a bike thread no matter what forum it's in. If they did have a slight intrest it's only a click away.

Great idea if you ask me, long overdue.

It would be an ideal place to complain about car drivers without the flaming. :D

Just realised I started a poll without atari jaguar as an option.

    Sincere apologies to all.

If you could merge the proposed biker section with the gay section that'd be great, and maybe have a subsection for leathers and other fetishes etc. ;):D

Good stuff Seamus, that was a close one

    nah, keep em mixed,

when we get our biking lanes and never have to deal with another car , then we can split them.
    although -

general - repair - for sale

would be a good split to keep it manageable

BAN THIS F*CKIN MUPPET FROM MOTORS, I THINK EVERYONE IS SICK OF HIS CHILDISH COMMENTS !!

Picture a neglected 5 year old boy who is being bold as a means of getting attention. The last thing you should do is give him attention, as it only encourages this behaviour. 528i deserves our pity.

I imagine life must be sad and lonely experience if the only way to get your kicks is knocking shops and trolling internet forums.

I agree - just look at antics of the gang of motorbikers on Octane.ie (more of the 528i rubbish) - a biker section here would ruin this otherwise excellent board ;)

Geez talk about homophobia.. It was only a suggestion lads, you shouldn't become so buttclenchingly uptight about the subject.. but I agree overall in principle, disjoint them away from the main motoring forum altogether, how about alittle hive sub-section to the main nature & bird watching forum then ?

    /wonders if he's upset any bird-watchers

i say you went to some BMW ride out once and got [snipped] in some stage after drinking some diluted beer wich started this gay obssesion and any reference to leather makes your balls shrinking and eyes water.

taking about homophobia, looks like you have one OK.

Give it a rest will you?

    Mike.

Ratchet - did you not know all BMW drivers have homosexual tendencies. Me, Im a lesbian trapped in a man's body!

nothing against BMW drivers there in specific. Rideout is the only place where 528i can go and I think all involved , came to conclusion and decided to show him real meaning of pain in the ar$e

it was just party joke , 528i went out with the tranny dominator which was ridding him like seabiskit

there you have real reason why he doesn't like anybody in the leather

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,682 ✭✭✭MojoMaker

He has a valid point about the feathers though. A lot of bikers get into the scene due to its homoerotic leanings, and it wouldn't be uncommon to find a lot of gay bikers, higher than the average for any given group. While I don't suggest for a moment it's mixed with the GLB forum a tolerant, liberal subsection here which was gay-friendly would make genuine biker chat a lot more realistic.

    "your all gay"

I say leave them mixed, there are enough specialist motorbike forums out there for more in-depth info, and subdividing the forum would mean we'd miss out on all the entertaining interation between repressed cagers and us 1%er's :p
