I have a lecture at 9 and nothin til 2 anyway, so I spose I might just head down to the student bar when it opens anyway; it's never too early for booze!

Yep nothing then either, hopefully I'll be there if I haven't been sucked into the bowels of the library by then..but the rate that my current studying is going I don't see that happening unless there's a force 5 full on freak out, so far only reached force 2, so force 5 isn't expected for another week or 3...

They're not strict at all, Hanginthere. They never ask for ID, and if you're really that worried one of us will go to the bar for you (and we promise not to leg it with your money, right guys? ).
They don't even put guys on the door til 7 or 8 anyway, and even then they only ask for ur student card, not age i.d.

Really? Wasn't aware of this. I was 18 goin in tho, so that'd be why...

But anyway, #1 The only ppl who ask for i.d. at student bar are the guys on the door, and as I said, they don't come on until later. And #2, the bar staff really don't care, I've never been asked for id by them (thank christ; I look nothing like my passport photo! :rolleyes: )

As far as I remember there is a way of getting ur d.o.b. off, a friend of mine had that last year at the start of the year, although he was 18 in like November it still was a pain when we went to the bar all the time-ppl would c it and b like-wait a min...so in the end I think he found a way to key it off...I'm sure there must be a way to scrape it off...

Unless they've gotten some nu fangled technology...bah!with our funding! rofl

I was 17 starting college, I'm now 22...
What they used to do (the year before I started AFAIK, possibly the one before) was print a huge red line right across your student card if you were under 18...
It's unlikely that I'll see any of you in the student bar this week.
Unfortunately I have a lecture at 2 in operating systems.
And an oral exam on firday for program design.

I strolled it over there at 3 after my lecture and I'm sure I saw the drummer from Kings of Leon and i was right........it was Seb who also looks like a lesbian according to Sangre!

Anyways it was cool meeting a bunch of you cool guys again. it is so great to actually know that there are some really cool, nice and genuine peo0ple out in this college. Seb, Red Alert, Kasintahan, Kittenkiller (ur so sweet just like via those texts of yours), Panda100 ( you cool brainy medicine chick...... HOT! ). that other guy , and blondie83 who i always end up meeting for like 2 minutes every time...... so cool the bunch of yous. Just like Fr. Ted Crilley said about the Chinese....... The Boards peoples a great bunch of lads.

Hey Mr. Nice Guy, the Czar. Seb or some other lunatic said about a meet up on Firday or some day next week. If there is swap mobile numbers via PM and we can meet up with each other.

(we know each other from outside boards) Anyway once again I'm drunkenly trying to study here, and once again its not working - but I really dont care at this stage I'll be in the student bar on Friday in some shape or form so will prob see a few of you there!

Yes indeed I was that lunatic. And I also want to say that I'm NEVER DRINKING AGAIN!!! Let alone on friday. Bloody hell, I'm so f**kin hungover. Mostly down to the fact that after I left the student bar I went straight to Doyles to watch the Arse-Chel match and, yep you guessed it, drink copious amounts of miller.
