Hi all, I'm hoping someone on here can help. I have a site hosted with www.acid.ie & it's due to expire soon. I've tried contacting them but to no avail, live assistance is off, emails are going unanswered & there's only a fax number there (which I think is an e-fax system). Their system is sending out automated reminders…

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone on here can help. I have a site hosted with www.acid.ie & it's due to expire soon. I've tried contacting them but to no avail, live assistance is off, emails are going unanswered & there's only a fax number there (which I think is an e-fax system).

Their system is sending out automated reminders & I have about two weeks before the domain expires.

Does anyone know if they're still trading or is www.acid.ie now just a ghost site?

Might be an idea to contact another host or domain register and get your name across to someone else, the last thing you want is to lose your domain.

In a lot of cases the webhost will be able to transfer your domain with little or no effort your end.

That depends on whether the domain is locked or not and whose details are in WHOIS.

Read what I said if the domain is locked or the whois is in the registers name, I dont know about you but my company would go to great lenths to help the customer get access to his domain, ... phone calls, emails, chasing the register up etc..

Although from reading your blog, you have ran into some very strange problems I have not. Your "Losing a domain" for example. so maybe you are speaking from this experience of having problems like this, I am not sure, although I dont think this is very common.

Acid are a reputable company, I cant see this user having much problems to be honest.
