Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aston Villa v Charlton - Villa
Man City v Birmingham - City
Norwich v Newcastle - Norwich[United's last two opponents, this could be interesting]
    Portsmouth v Liverpool - Liverpool
Tottenham v West Brom - Spurs
Blackburn v Crystal Palace - Palace
    Everton v Man Utd - Utd(duh)
I hear rumours of a draw, but I honastly think Everton don't have the goods against top teams. They are in 4th because they nearly always beat the bottom half.
    Chelsea v Arsenal - Chelsea
This will be an interesting match. I've being trying to decide who I want to win. I figure'd if ARsenal win it might knock down Chelsea's chance of winning the PM early, and also maybe dent their CL hopes. However if Arsenal win it allows United to take back 2nd. I don't know, 6 of one...
But I think Chelsea will win, unless Henry is just magical, which I don't discount btw :)

    Henry is injured

Man City v Birmingham - Draw
    Norwich v Newcastle - Norwich
Portsmouth v Liverpool - Draw (Liverpools away form is awful)
Tottenham v West Brom - Spurs
Blackburn v Crystal Palace - Draw
Everton v Man Utd - Utd(if they play anything like Sunday)
Chelsea v Arsenal - Draw(2-2) - Arsenal will go all out and can see it being high scoring.

Not being picky but how will Arsenal winning affect Chelsea's CL hope?

And also, if Arsenal win how will that allow Utd. to take back 2nd?

Scholes off too. Fully deserved too. Kicked out at Kilbane as he went past him.

United down to 9 scholes off

    Well done Everton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

Everton did not really have to do much today, United were dreadful, unimaginative and lacking the cutting edge, the old RVN would have at least had a strike on that one in the last few minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Well then, great win for Everton, disgraceful display by Man Utd! Absolutely shocking!

Neville kicking the ball at a fan, wtf! Hope he gets a 3 game ban.
Scholes' eyes said it all after that kick on Kilbane. Should have been a straight red!
Ronaldo and Rooney came close to sending offs too!

GReat display by Everton, very poor by United.
Van Nist had no support, none! He got at most one half chance, one! The guy is worht like 30 million and United gave him one half chance!
Rooney and Ronaldo were totally ineffective. What bugs me about Ronaldo's diving is not necessarily that he does it, its that he is **** at it. Whether you like it or not, at least when Van Nist does it he gets a peno
Rooney isn't a winger, the best displays we've ever seen from him is when playing off Owen, a player exactly like Van Nist!
Scholes played arguably the worst game I've ever seen himplay.
    Fletcher was clearly rushed back.
Brown was solid, Rio 120k a week for that sorta marking on the biggest ariel threat in the premiership, give me 120 quid a week for that sorta marking!

I take solace, only minor solace, in the fact that Everton have just ensured that Liverpool will not get the CL spot, but that is minor

My god, i thought that maybe after the newcastle game things had changed but not its still a steaming load of bollox.

5 man midfield just does not work. They just dont create the chances against the teams who put pressure on the player with the ball like evertont did today and norwich did a few weeks ago. 1 man up front is giving the everton defence and easy job and lets their defenders cope wit the extra man attacking them from midfield.

Fair play to Everton. Much prefer to see them in the champions league than liverpool.

i disagree here i taught Rooney was very good tonight, i taught he was the only one who did somthing tonight

stupid from gneville, should be fined by manu for that. unnacceptable.

scholes i'll defend. keane had the ball, looking to go forward, someone (beattie i think) clattered into the back of keane, blatent foul and the ref played on.
ball broke to kilbane and scholes lashed out as he was annoyed with the ref.

apart from gnevilles stupidity, im not too disappointed. unlike many manu fans, finishing 3rd doesnt bother me. if we cant have 1st nothing else matters. early pre-season can be a blessing in disguise from both a financial and fitness point of view. after the norwich loss, the title was over.

in the remaining matchs, youngsters/fringe players should be fielded so the 1st teamers can have a good look at themselves and be hungry for the fa cup. oh, and fletcher is a waste of space, ive said it before and i'll say it again. rubbish from him tonight, he looked completely out of his depth.

credit to everton though, all over the pitch for 90mins, really worked hard. dont have the class but they deserved it for their work rate. on another day, another ref, utd might have won it. ronaldo's wasnt a peno, another dive. there was contact, little push but no peno. felt sorry for rooney, utd's best player.
