Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What films do you love despite them actually being complete crap. For example The Serpent and the Rainbow by Wes Craven, total crap but I've seen it a million times just can't beat a nail through the scrotum for lastability; Ace Ventura 2 is another I just love but its total cack.

anything with Steven Seagal or Jean-Claude Van Dammit. pure cheese!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 111 ✭✭Dooid

Van Damme has some truly great crap classics, Double Impact rates pretty high for me, I believe it has the worst sex scene ever filmed. PWD what are you on about sure you don't want to add Psycho, Citizen Kane and Blue Velvet to the list! Oh Seagal is a genius, you just can't get any worse than his final line in... what was that ****e film on the boat with yer wan from baywatch..anyway you know the one where at the end he says 'I'll show you a move!'

I was wondering if someone was going to mention it! Well done old bean.

I think its fair to add most Arnie films to the lists, especially Erasor (grapping with a croc?). Saying that I love true lies, and not just for the cheese...

how this only was recognised in the second page of this thread is beyond me.

i love the bit in the shoppingcentre when about fifty security guards run at him and he beats them all. what kind of shoppingcentre has fifty security guards.

    best film ever

    Streetfighter ?
Or was that just so godawfully terrible it was great that it ended, I'm not sure.

    Surely all arnie films qualify?

I should also include "Dagon" and "Reanimator" here as well as the 1st Friday 13th.

    Almost,
but I wouldn't bundle Terminator 2 in with all the other Arnie films. That's a classic movie in it's own right that still looks as fresh today as it did 14 years ago IMHO.

What about The Stuff...? it's about a yogurt that comes to life and moves about in your fridge and takes over your mind.

Oh.. and the 2 Troll movies are really bad too.. but still very funny...

All the old Godzilla films are great to watch for the same reason... he's fought some really dopey monsters over the years... and had to endure some of the most poorly concieved alien invasion plans of all time.

    The One-Armed Boxer.
Possibly the most entertainingly bad film I've ever seen.

... Although I still have that copy of "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" that I haven't had a chance to watch yet.

Yeah, but its so-bad-it's-good flag is overridden by its crap-film-made-watchable-by-überhoney property. But maybe only for blokes.

Now now, the crapness of One Armed Boxer is actually surpassed with some margin by One Armed Boxer 2 : No Armed Boxer (or whatever its subtitle actually was). I never thought I'd see a b-movie sequel out-crappify the original so spectacularly. Especially not one with the kind of dodgy stop-animation effects that OAB1 had.

I've just remembered the hideous "horror" film 976-Evil. Ugh. Amusingly terrible chiefly because of the way it clearly rips off the Freddy films, which had absolutely nothing to do with Robert Englund directing it. Oh no. Entirely coincidence, honest.

One Armed Boxer 2 : The Flying Guillotine is it's name.
I've seen it, and it truly is crap, but I didn't find it quite as enteraining as OAB1.
Although the Flying Guillotine itself (a sort of hat on a chain that the user could cut peoples heads off with), is quite bizzarre.

Surely it has got to be Commando. I mean his name in it is John Matrix and he battles the evil, Australian, chain-mail wearing Freddie Mercury ffs!

For everyone who can appreciate the special type of hilarity that only Commando delivers go here.
