Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For some unknown reason I hate Graeme Souness and John Arne Riise. Which footballers do you hate? Rational or irrational nominations equally welcome.

    Eric Cantona - Bah seagulls
Wiltort - went into a state of extreme nervousness when I saw him on the Arsenal teamsheet
Deco - someone farts near him and he hits the ground, over rated diver!

    Alan Shearer

Anyone in a Man United shirt, but particularly Eric "Judas" Cantona and Alan "Judas" Smith (no prizes for guessing who I support)

Although he's not a footballer, Neil Warnock is actually at the top of my list

Christiano Ronaldo - Why does he always have to dive?

David Beckham - an english player, totally over rated and over hyped by the british media.

    Wayne Rooney - See above.

Kezman - what a useless striker, so crap.

Henry - great striker, but what an arrogant man.

Leeds sold him, how is that his fault. It wasnt like Sol Campbell waiting out his contract and leaving to join Arsenal on a free.

Diouff - bloody scumbag, and crap to boot.
    Danny Mills

They are the only two who spring to mind, they just seem to be scumbags and for that reason i've taken a dislike. I don't mind "dirty" players as long as it's done right (i say dirty as a lot of people consider certain players dirty but they are great players ie Roy Keane. Danny Mills is the opposite, hes dirty and ****e). Spitting ,however is the lowest of the low

    Diouf,
    Danny Mills,
    Dietmar Hamman,
    Lee Bowyer.

All for the same reason, they dont appear to want to play football, just injure people.

I like Robbie Savage. I read an interview with him a couple of years back in which he was asked about his pink Porsche 911. He says he bought it just to annoy everybody who saw him. He also says he loves it when guys pull up beside the blonde in the pink Porsche then they see his smiling face!

Hamann is not a dirty player in the slightest. In fact I cant remember a bad or reckless tackle made by him. Savage on the other hand is a filthy player. Owning a pink Porsche "just to piss people off" demonstrates everything about the man. Why not just get a car you liked?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,011 ✭✭✭DoctorEdgeWild

I think Hamman is a dirty player - I have seen him make danfgerous tackles in the past. Apologies that I cant think of any examples right now.

I dont think Robbie Savage tries to injure his opponents. I wouldnt like to play against him cos he would probably just annoy the Hell out of you but I'd have him in my team giving his all for the cause.

The difference is between a dirty player and a niggly player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,966 ✭✭✭Jivin Turkey

Hamann is a "cute" player, he is not one bit dirty or dangerous. He picks up bookings for things like shirt pulling when a player is getting clean through and the like. He rarely goes in studs showing or high, which Savage does regularly.

Dont get me wrong I think Savage is a great player, and would love him in my team, but he is a filthy and cynical tackler, not to mention a complete wind up merchant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,011 ✭✭✭DoctorEdgeWild

Think we'll have to agree to disagree and let the thread stay on topic. I respect your points but I see Hamann as a deliberately dirty player which I do not see Savage as (despite his name not helping my cause :D )
