Who to go to?

I went into Metalmorphosis in Temple Bar yesterday to get something done & to my absolute horror discovered that Sean/Shawn's moved to Manchester!

Had it in my head that he was the guy to do it as he's put so many holes in my mates in the past & done them brilliantly & i'd trust him to do the job more than anyone else.
(Kinda strange, i know, just had it in my head, ye know?)

I was hoping you could post who you've gone to recently & why you''d recommend them?

Don't fancy going to the girl in Metalmorphosis after the last time i was in there she admitted to messing up someone's piercing cuz they'd either slagged her or pi$$ed her off beforehand. EEP!

I'd really appreciate any input you could give me.

    Cheers.

    Ehhh....Stay away from Metal Morphosis!
Go to Celestial Ring in Stephens Green S.C. or to Snakebite in Middle Abbey Street, the two top piercing parlours in Dublin IMHO

Body Shock in Temple Bar is also good!

Just as a matter of interest Garth why do you say stay away from metal morphosis???
I went there last year to get a scaffold done and they totally messed it up the two holes weren't in line so after a a few months of having the scaffold bar in there i had to replace it with two separate short bars so it could heal properly then im gonna have to bend my scaffold bar to fit in there!!
just wonder what you know bout em???

There are a few stories like yours going around about the place. They've screwed up plenty of times and have a reputation for not being the best around.

Yup,I've had 3 friends go there and 2 of them got infected. They have multiple piercings so its not like they didnt take care of them. Plus selling food in the same shop as you do piercings is never a good thing...

In fairness it is a perfect reason......I dont know about you but complaints from friends over a piercing establishment will make me steer wide of it.

2 people getting infected from the same place is not a valid point in your book?
What planet are you living on sunshine?

    Anyone that you WOULD recommend?
I think it's down to the piercer rather than the shop itself.
I got my tongue done in Sb years ago & haven't had a problem at all, my bf got his nipple there & they fu(ked it up.

Can anyone recommend an individual rather than a shop?

    Yeh sorry kittenkiller,got a bit distracted :)
I get all my piercings done by Ken in celestial ring in Stephens Green. Very friendly and a very good piercer

Metal Morphosis is alright for your standard walk-in piercings, I wouldn't get anything unusual or outrageous done there.
Snakebite is the place to go.

kenny in celestrial ring did a few of my ear ones nothing major.
all my serious ones where done by snakebite.
but sean has left them aww(he did most of mine)
but all of the other guys are really good in snakebite!
i would recomend body shock was getting my tounge pierced and the girl dropped the bar on the floor stood on it picked it up and went to put it into my mouth! my mate lost it at her and she got a new sterilised one!

How much does a lip piercing cost in bodyshock? Can't seem to find anything on their website!

I'm planning on getting a ring in the middle of my lower lip, would any of you recommend getting it towards the side, or in the middle?

Not sure how much it is exactly there but they usually go for around 45-50 euro or there about! In regards to getting it to the side depends on you really, it suits some people and doesn't others! Look in the mirror and decide what would look best on you or ask a friend what they think from lookin at you what would suit!

I've heard bad things about metal morphis too...I'm not from Dublin though, but I've heard great things about snakebite, my piercer's boyfriend goes there, apparently they're the best for surface piercings...other than that, Paddy O'donouge in Bodyshck is lovely, I've had the pleasure of getting pierced a good few times by him, he's a real professional, never had any problems with anything he done, except a surface piercing on my belly, which surprisingly he pierced too shallow and now I have a keloid in the middle, apparently i'm not the only one this has happened to either...but it wouldn't stop me going to him, he really does a good job!

That smacks of contradiction, "he caused me to have a keloid grow on my belly, happened to others... but it was a good job" ??

He did my scaffold similarly to someone who posted above with the angles wrong which meant it was a complete wasta money AND im left with a scar and NO scaffold piercing!! Are you sure that your not just mixing up the fact that he's sound enough to talk to and hence *must* be a good piercer?

And I'm fairly sure *Page* meant to say "wouldn't"

yeah i know it's really contradicting, but he's done a few more piercings on me that were done excellent...he done a second scaffold on me, turned out fine, and a hand web thats lasted longer than any amount of time i was quited...hes pierced loads of people i know and done a great job....but then there's my belly...i was always knew he done it too shallow, and when i showed to a couple of people in cork who pierce me they both knew someone, that had the same thing done by him, and she got the same result as i did from it...but i know people hes done surface piercings on and he done them great....
but i've gone to him since my surface and he's done good work on me....
