I'm sorry, but you can't just go around slagging a band who are looking for members for no reason.

    I wasn't slagging anyone.

Just pointing out that they looked uncannily like (L-R) Tony Blair, someone who 's name I can't remember, Carol Decker and the druggie guy from Aslan.

    Tell me I'm wrong: http://bailermusic.com/im/photos/photo1.html

Slagging would be more along the lines of 'you look like the kind of band that plays 'Simply the Best' by Tina Turner on the ferry across to Holyhead' , but you'll note I held back from saying that.

Just figured out who the second guy from the left looks like: Alastair McGowan http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1265000/images/_1269046_mcgowan150.jpg

Altogether now: "Oooooooh! You're Simply the best" http://bailermusic.com/im/photos/photo5.html

The reported post was from the original poster, so they didn't find it funny. No reason they should be slagged (and yes it is a slagging).

In fairness if you're going to put your half-arsed pub rock band's website for all to see on the interweb you should expect some stick. Especially when its as po-faced and delusional as this one http://bailermusic.com/bio.html. Leading Dublin venues like Slattery's in Rathmines indeed. Today Slattery's, tomorrow The Submarine Bar Bingo Night, the day after that the 16.45 sailing to Roscoff.

They've got a nerve even posting in bands/musicians.

Why do you say that? Any band can post there. It's not your place to berate anyone for doing that. I couldn't care less if they had "Best band in the world" in 20ft writing on the website.

So If I was looking for a drummer for my band arzebuttonwenkpigeon and I had a link to arzebuttonwenkpigeonmuzak.com which had a picture of 4 bearded ladies and someone posted saying 'it looks like your band has 4 bearded ladies in it' and then I informed you I wasn't amused because my band is very serious and we've played in Slattery's of Rathmines you know, then the person who made the observational post on the bearded ladies would receive an automatic weeks ban?

If the band were offended I might.

I never knew people in bands were such sensitive flowers. Still, worst comes to the worst the lead singer's five kids will always be fans regardless of anything I might say.

    Heh!
Ok, I'll tell you what. I'll remove the ban, if you promise to be good and I'll edit the post.

    Agreed?
