What can't you do without in your kitchen?

Skillet - Bang!
Big old saucepan, pressure cooker even
Real butcher's knife - probably about 100 euro minimum, but I got one for free, best value for no money ever
Cleaver - very smart
Crêpe pan - I forgive you Teflon, but only this once
Pasta machine - windey windey, pop, tagliatelle, yummah!

Non perishables
Olive oil
Vejjurible ile
Sesame oil - could live without it, but then you could live without pants
Tins o' tamaahas - at least a hundred
Tomato concentrate/purée
Sbayzis - at the very least cumin, coriander, two types of paprika, cayenne pepper, cardamoms, fenugrec, turmeric, dried stuff (onyonz, garelik, jinjur), szechuan pepper, sambal
Herbs - all that is green and good and grows in the garden
Flour
Salt, of the guérland type, if you please
Pepper, in classic black
rice

Perishables
lemons
onions
garlic
spuds
ginger
MEAT

simu

Tools
Saucepans, frying pan, casserole dish, grater, knives, blender - that's about it.

Non perishables
Olive oil - can't live without it!
Lots of different spices, pepper, salt, balsamic and cider vinegars, flour, rice - risotto and basmati, pasta.


Perishables
Depends on what I'm cooking that week but fresh herbs, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, onions, tomatoes, eggs, tinned fish, milk, yoghurt, bread feature quite a bit.
