Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last year I set up my wireless router on default Channel 11 and all worked fine until my neighbour installed a wireless video sender, I had to get really close to the router to get a signal, So I changed my settings to use Channel 3 and all was alright until today when channel 3 does not seem to work at all so I am now using Channel 6.

Does this mean my neighbour has installed something else?

The channels go from 03 to 13
3,4,5 now do not work and 11 is limited.

How many different wireless signals are able to operate close together?

I have wireless headphones, a videosender, and a cordless phone. Oh, yes, and a wireless AP :D
It took me days to find the proper tuning. The WAP has 11 channels, the phone and the videosender have 4 each, and the headphones have only 2 settings. I used the backtracking method, starting with the elements with fewer choices first. The most annoying interference came from the microwave oven. I thought everything was peachy, then noticed how the oven ruined the reception for the bedroom TV.

In your case, the neighbour might not let you change the channels of his items, hence your choices are limited. I guess it wouldn't hurt to knock at his door and ask him to change the channel on whatever wireless device he has, but he might tell you to go to hell.

Sounds like someone needs a new microwave. They're not supposed to leak.

They do indeed leak, normally centered on 2.45Ghz (802.11b/g channels 8 & 9).
Up to 50W per square meter is permitted at 50mm, though less than 10W is more usual.
