Just read in the indo that the western rail corridor is gonna be opened from ennis as far as claremorris within the next two years... Great news but could any one tell me how the ceannt station is gonna cope with these new routes especially since there is only one platform.. excuse the stupidity but just dont understand how it will be done

If it was set to open in 2 years id say work would have started at Ceannt Station already... load of bull tbh

id have to agree with you but tbh why would a national broadsheet newspaper publish such an article if that wasnt the case..

Would it be the first time a paper has sourced misled information... Tabloid or no tabloid

Well, the Indo is both broadsheet and tabloid, so you wouldn't know.

Technically, Ceannt has 2 platforms, but one is way shorter than the other. The work that needs doing before the WRC can open is track re-doubling between Galway and Athenry.

It's high time they re-opened it. It would take half the cars off the road between Tuam, Gort and Galway for one thing.

It's the indo. A tabloid in disguise. Do they still have the tabloid version of it?

Unfortunately, yes. It's the so-called 'Metro Version'.
