If a horse comes in 3rd @ 8/1 with €10 e.w on it how much does that pay?
I think it's just €20 is that correct.
    Thanks

What's the place terms i.e. 1/4 or 1/5 of the odds?

I'm not sure it was "Native Beat" in the 1st race at punchestown today 1/4 I think.

    If it's a handicap you get 1/4, a quarter of the odds. So that's 5 euro @ 2/1 = 10, plus your fiver back. 15 euro total.

But I had a tenner e.w would that not mean 10 euro @ 2/1 plus tenner back .
    30 total.

    Would it not be
    8/1 at 1/5 odds =1.6/1 X 10 = 16.00 plus your 10 back
= 26 EURO in total you should collect
    FYG
take away the 10 win, your NETT winnings is 6 Euro.

    Eh No.
    10 e/w is 20 outlay
win part loses, you lose 10
place part comes up, so you get 16 (8/1 at 1/5) plus your 10 stake back=26
so you collect 26 but you spent 20 so nett win is 6?

So in my example you collect 26 but you've spent 20.

Well i see it as lost my ten on a win. Won 16 on a place.
