Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hiya my sister in studying in Germany and she is sharing an 11Mbps wireless connection with 3 people,
she was told (by the billpayer) not to download anything illegal as they are extremebly strict over there,
does anyone know if this is true or were they just trying to stop her slowing down their connections,
    thanks
(sorry if this is in wrong place!

also I was talking to her on Skype and there was a good 3 sec delay?
    is this normal,
is there any way to make it better?

Don't have answers to your questions I'm afriad, but the 11Mbps is probably to the host (ie. the local wireless transmitter) and not the Internet itself. This combined with wireless latency could be causing the 3 seconds delay ( - someone else can back up or refute this maybe)

The friendly local branch of the RIAA in Germany recently sued an impressive number of people; the most outside the US.

In addition, it is as far as I know illegal to view Nazi (and racist in general) material in Germany on th'internet.

I suppose the billpayer is concious that if theres a problem with the nature of anything downloaded, that the powers that be will come calling on him first...
