Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe it's just me but I have to say my blood starts to bubble whenever I flick on the TV and shows such as 'Boiling Point' and Network2's 'Naked Camera' come smarming their way across my screen.

It's not that I have issue with the quality (or apparent lack there of) of this type of programme in itself, it merely bugs me at the idea that there are production crews scuttling around irritating & taking the piss out of members of a (already on the whole increasingly agitated) general public all in the name of 'entertainment'.

You might say 'well that’s reality Television for you – joe bloggs has to suffer a bit before he gets his 15 seconds of fame' it might be noted the subtle difference I find with this type of shows is that the members of the public who end up on the receiving end of this treatment never put a ‘pick me’ sign around their neck or joined a ‘big brother 6’ audition queue etc in order to indicate their consent before the act.

I'm sure (?) all ‘the victims’ had to sign release forms after the set-up was revealed otherwise it wouldn't have gotten to TV (some perhaps under duress, who knows?) but what about the few (and I'm sure they do exist) who get leveled with this intrusion only to tell the production crews to 'f-off and stick your release up your arse' when the joke is revealed to them. Net result of the whole venture = "1 annoyed member of the general public and a waste of time for all involved".

Anyway, discussion on the topic welcomed.

As my english teacher would subtly say,
    have you contradicted yourself here?

anyway I think Naked camera is excellent although like all such T.V. shows it will soon run out of jokes and become way too repetitive!
    can't stand boiling points

I think naked camera is a right laugh. It's purely Irish, the gags are tailored for us.

I love all these amateur shrinks. I don't think these programmes are actually holding up his life, he just wanted to discuss/bitch/complain about them, and see if anyone thought the same about them. It's what forums are for...discussion...
