Increase in chorus speed

They chorus sent a letter to customers declaring double speeds actiavated from Tuesday 26/04/05 without extra charge. I must tell you that nothing has changed. The last download test I made gave me 189k. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised and be greatful I'v got something. Regard Good Boy

I was under the impression that Chorus currently only provided a 512 Kb connection. So the upgrade is to a 1 Meg connection right?

Just confused since you said the last time you checked you were getting 189k. I can only assume you meant Kilobits there?

Really, 189KB is about a 1.5m, I thought they were only upgrading to 1m.

It should say 189 kb's. Yes they promised 1024K from 512k.
This mornings reading 239 kb's. using chorus's recommended speed test.

Their letter started off as follows,
" We are delighted to give you a broadband boost at no extra cost. As of 26th April 2005 Chorus is increasing the speeds of Cablenet Broad band."

It's a joke if anyone has been updated please let us know.
