    I would prefer if the default text in the mailing list text boxes disappeared when the cursor is put in them

    Thanking you Ph3n0m, we went through hours upon hours or browser testing, and our particular bane/bain (sp?) was IE5.1 on the Mac on OS9. How we toiled over that! We're somewhat relieved it renders correctly on all the various browsers, validity aside. But your point noted.

    Not to be an ass or anything, but pages usually render better in every browser if they are w3c valid :)
