Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,

Downloaded it the other day working fine other then when people try to send me files it says it not safe etc. and won't let it through.

Now obviouly i know the files are safe. How can I disable this feature? It's quite annoying and I can't seem to find out how. I went as far as listing my virus scanning software in the file transfer bit makes no difference.

This used to happen all the time with Windows Messanger, just turn off the virus scan altogether. If not then its whatever other protection you have on yuor pc blocking transfers be it a firewall or whatever.

Its not the anti-virus giving the problem, I would imagine, but Messenger itself. That'll be part of Microsoft's protective measures to prevent the spread of viruses, etc.

Does it actually drop the download itself?

Just another thing... even though I have "DISPLAY ALERT WHEN USER COMES ONLINE" checked, it doesn't do it, it used to before I upgraded to 7.

When I did not have it associated to any virus scanner it blocked any transfer anyways. It does not allow the transfer invite to go through to me at all because its "unsafe"

a patch on the page above has an option in it to remove the file protection, along with the ads and a whole pile of other bits of the program so if your not sure, don't remove them :) can always be undone if you do make an incorrect choice.

as always Msger Plus offers a bucket load of options, but REFUSE the sponsor program if you dont want cool bar or whatever else there packaging with it these days.
