on saturday afternoon last, an animal was spotted on the Dublin/Kildare border which resembled a big cat.the description word for word: red to brown in colour, larger than a fox, bushy tail.cat like head,as opposed to a fox or dog.The animal was seen from a distance of about 200 yds.It was stalking along a hedgerow and stopped now and then to squat as if spraying. The person who witnessed this is no bullshi**er, and has been hunting and shooting for 30 years. He was absolutely sure it was feline.

Could of just been a large Tom cat, it's kitten season and cats are everywhere spraying and marking their territory.
Sound like it could just be a long haired ginger Tom cat or a fox and the man needs glasses lol.
There was a big hoop de do about a panther being loose last year turns out it was just a large regular black cat.

these rumours have been floating around this island for a bit too long for some concrete evidence not to present it's self.

There are people who keep big cats, licencsed and unlicensed, and it is possible one could have ecsaped.

    But, I'd doubt it.

    This sounds like a challenge!!

But seriously folks, wasn't there sightings of a panther or something similar around the NI boarder a while back?
    Maybe it's reproduced!

No that panther was a regular cat.

They've been having sightings like these in the UK for years and years now as well, and nobody has ever proved a thing apart from some fuzzy home video footage that could be just about anything. I'll believe it when I see definite proff, not before.
