Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Luas services have returned to normal this afternoon following an incident this morning.

Services on the red line (Tallaght to Connolly station) had been disrupted due to an incident at the Tallaght terminus.

It is believed two trams collided at the Tallaght depot. No one was injured in the incident.

    Luas Tallaght line service restored

    30 April 2005 14:38
Services on the Luas red line in Dublin were restored this afternoon following a disruption.

The interruption this morning was caused by a collision between two trams at the Tallaght terminus.

There were no passengers on the trams at the time.

The service between Tallaght and the Red Cow station was suspended, with trams running between the Red Cow and Connolly Station.

Unfortunately Friday wasn't too good a day for the Luas either.

There was a disruption in the morning service just before 8am supposedly due to a bus breaking down on the tracks at James' (I am not sure of the exact details however) - and for a short period all in-bound Luas services were terminating at Blackhorse. As Blackhorse is my local stop, its very strange turning the corner and seeing about 80 people standing at your local bus stop instead.

Last night about 10pm, a down and out decided to have a lie down beside the tracks between Rialto and Suir Rd, and all services were subsequently disrupted while an ambulance was called. The poor guy was completely hammered - if he'd been 3 or 4 feet to his right he'd also have been Luas fodder.

... and for anyone that may have missed it ...
From Tuesday 1st May, service on the Red Line (Tallaght to Connolly) will increase the frequency of trams running during peak hours to every 5-6 minutes.
