Hey - first time poster, long time reader ... or something like that

With my final year project documention due in 2 days, I'm panicking Not only have I to write the damned docs, I also need a logo to use on both the app itself, and in the docs.

Name: Blue Block
Type: Game
Platform: Mobile Phone
Format: PNG preferably
Why the name? It's a tetris clone, that uses bluetooth for multiplayer gaming

I'm currently using this image, which, as you can see ... lacks ... well, everything really!

I need 2 versions - one is a larger, printable version (printable being in a document, not on a poster) and a smaller one for display on the phone's screen. The smaller one can simply be a scaled down version of the larger one, but it may not look the same on the phone's display!

I'd be forever in your debt if someone designed something nice for me
Any ideas?

That was superb - now I don't want to do a straight screen grab and just use it but that's something like I was aiming for - or at least, in that style.

I like three because it uses up some of that wasted space and makes it less boring .... it entirely up to you though and don't think you have to pick one...

sorry bout that , i cant seem to fix it either , it is like the 3rd one only the bit with the blocks is just matt black , no detail

Probably wouldn't be much use as a printed logo, but what ever... just a doodle really.

Perhaps if you changed the file ending to lowercase?

I like that one - it's probably the darker border on number 3, but it just look out of place

DonkeyStyle - That image both disturbs and intrigues me ... jesus christ I can't say it's bad, but I can't say it's good either - it's "something"

Hal: I really like the idea of the bluetooth symbol - nice
Also noticed the L blocks ... also nice touch

The background looks out of place though.




Just a word of warning - there's gonna be an influx of users to this board as soon as they hear about this

Here's an idea - Citizen, could you take bb.gif and change the "B"'s to the bluetooth symbol?

Also, the S in "Blocks" can be removed

I'd be interested to see how that turns out.

Something in particular ... well, like I said above, spikey really took my fancy, but I really don't know exactly what I'm looking for - which is of course no use to you

Hmmm - You may be right with the one B, try the B from "Blue"

could you also try that spikes picture in the background instead of the current one?
And remove the S from "Blocks" - supposed to be "Block"

the problem with using spikey is that its very hard to read any writting...
I cant seem to find a solution either....

I mad spikey in jasc using the smudge push and warp brush tool . you make a shape in the centre , push or smudge it around in "tenticles" then use the warp brush to spike it about. the sunburst coming from the middle is a built in jasc effect....

That one looks superb - except for the non-visible writing
Could you make the background blue to be feinter? Like in the other ones?

Lost is right - looks like that spikey bg won't suit it at all.

I was under the impression that this game was Resident Evil meets SpongeBobSquarePants.... although I've never been that great at reading comprehension.... glad you liked it though.
