Have you heard about ROPER? They managed to get a metal band into the last five bands in the Whelans Brave New Stage competition in April '05 and are turning heads everywhere they play.
Latest news is that they are supporting Mudvayne in the Temple Bar Music Centre on June 1st. Check them out at http://www.roper-music.com where there are three tracks available to download for free!

    Well, from the wesht really.

Mael Mórdha impressed me alot on that Eurostar píss-ripper.
Pulled together a decent Abba cover in sfa time and stuck two fingers right up those bitches' noses.
They should have won, would've made me watch Eurovision for once.

Nothing is Sacred kick ass. Few members of ShermanM4 are in it. And a friend of mine. Already great (espeically for an Irish metal band) and are set to get even better. Keep an eye out.
Can't say I enjoyed that Roper stuff. That metalcore stuff is just monotonous now.

Yup Celtic Legacy by a large margin.

However, Mass Extinction are the future of thrash. They're supporting Nuclear Assault in July. Well worth checking out.

thedevils, please note that the post before yours is from 2005. In the intervening five and a half years I'm sure that there have been a few more Irish bands come on the scene and so a new thread is more appropriate.
