Philips DVDR610 - Xtravision?

    I see Xtravision are selling the Philips DVDR610 for about 269. Is this a decent enough recorder? While I'd like a HD recorder I can't afford one at the moment. Any disadvantages? As usual with all DVD gear the reviews on the web vary enormously.

    The panasonic DMRE55 looks better but its DVD-R or DVD-RAM only. Was really looking for something that used DVD+/-RW so I could reuse the disks.
