    Howdy folks,
A kid (age 9) from my kids class has moved to Navan (the burbs!!) and her mother has asked me to scope around for another MA school for her. Any recommendations or info would be welcome.

    There's a ninpo class run for young'un.
Don't have the details at hand but can get them if you're interested.

Think its run in Scoil Mhuire but dont quote me.

I've always wanted to ask this and finally I have a good excuse! What is Ninpo, exactly? Ninja stuff?

I suppose when people think of ninpo they think of ninjutsu the main difference in the use of the words is that with ninpo there is an strong emphasis on the spiritual/philosophical side as well.
On the actual martial arts side it comprises of a number of arts with tai-jutsu (unarmed combat), Biken-jutsu (sword, but more like a short sword than the one used in say kendo), Bo-jutsu (staff), plus others.

For further information you could check the following:

There are others on the board which do this particalar art and which I'm sure give give a more detailed description.

Rob Byrne used to teach the beautiful art of zhoo zhitsoo out there, but I don't know if anyone took over from him.
