Don't know for sure. But you may as well give it a lash! In our fifth year summer tests we had to write about Butt, my friend hadn't a clue so she went on and on about his alcoholism and how it affected his life. She somehow ended up getting a decent enough grade!

butt was a gambler, not a drinker as far as i know so thats fairly generous alright

I think you guys are missing someone.

Section A: I'm thinking that it'll actually Be John Redmond's turn on the paper. He hasn't been on in many a year (unlike Parnell and Davitt) and was hotly tipped by more than one history teacher in my school.

As far as everything else goes.....I'm ditching my four essay per section plan, and going for two EXTREMELY well learnt essays, and two 'story' types (eg lose the figures, lose the precise dates, bring in more explanation of motives, and discussion of actions). I spent too long cramming biology last week, and I'm left with no choice.

I have this gem of a little history book which was less than €10. It covers the average essay in two pages. It's brilliant if used with another history book. It's called "Concise Leaving Cert History" by Thomas Kingston. It's published by Solas Publications.
Best book ever, I'm flaad, our history teacher was ****e handed us a gigantic bundle of essays just before the pres written in his appauling handwriting for us to decipher, gave us no tips and we've only ever written the questions we had to write for our xmas summer exams and pre's. he gave us a special topic which we were told to learn off(we weren't allowed to decide ourselves in the lucky dip i got "sinn fein the father of irish democracy" which is gonna make me come accross as some f*ckin armchair rahead) some people might say its an advantage we didnt have to do work, i would have loved to do it myself but due to him being a general lazy c*nt who didn't inspire us to work at all for the last 2 years and now i'm flaad.
    incidently i've done
    1. Davitt, cultural nationalism,, constructive unionism
    2. inter party gov, dismantling the treaty, devs economic policies
    3. 3rd republic, weimar germany(comes up in 4 as well) either eastern q or causes of ww1 in a cramming session 2 mo morning
4.mussolini, weimar, hitler (stalin 2 moro morn)
    5. stupid aforementioned specialist topic

lmao about coming across as an armchair rahead!! :D

I did cathal bruhga ffs 'an unrepentant republican'!?!

Wish i didn't have to do business so i could cram 2moro. I learned 2 essays before my mocks. it only started at 1. so i had time 2do 2 practically new essays to me in that time. I reckon i could scrape a2 if everything came up. But it won't so B2 what i got in the mocks.
