I'm afraid that my special topic isn't up to scratch but there's nothing I can do now.....
My teacher gave me full marks but I got a B for it in the mocks. my teacher still says she doesn't know what I can change so I don't know what to expect. Its on the execution of Irish soldiers by the British army in WWI btw.

Look over Third Republic and you'll more than likely be fine. Usually one or the other come up. They're the only two that I've learnt, I might just have a quick look at causes of First World War and Weimar as back ups but doubt I'll have the time, still have section D to do.......

I'm sorted for Davitt or Butt; Interparty, Blueshirts or DeV; Stalin's domestic policy or Hitler's Domestic. I had a quick look at the 3rd republic last night and it doesn't seem too bad. I lost my special topics last night which was near fatal for me. I found them under my bed this morning so all is well! I can't wait to get this test over and done with. I've never prayed before but I think now is a very good time to start with how little I've done.

I thought it was fairly easy. Everything I wanted to come up did - Parnell,the third republic,the Irish Civil War and Russia. I did the Versaille Treaty instead of a special topic.
I can never predict how I did in history exams I usually think I didn't do well but end up doing quite well. I have no idea how I did on this one, I know I didn't fail but that's it.

Section C and not a sight or sound of France, Bismarck or Versailles....ended up doing a sh!te Eastern European essay on it.
Everything else was grand (unionism, Inter-Party, Stalin, ST), was a little surprised Parnell showed up again though.

Yeah wasn't it so bad, three out of the five essays I learned came up in the same section (d), my special topic came up in section A and Micheal Davitt, the only one I'd prepared for A, came up in E. Of course I only saw that AFTER I had written my special topic. Couldn't answer any question out of C or A-we hardly covered any of the course in class. AAARRRGHH it couldn't have gone any worse. Probably got about 20%.

Also what was with France in section D?? Is that not usually in C? Was very confused.

I think I did alright, got all 5 essays done so thats good. By the way what the hell was the third french republic doing in section D, thought that would only come up section C

The third french republic lasted all the way from 1871 till 1940 - they probably just put that in to somehow throw people... I didn't realise anything much important happened in France during 1919-1940. (Except some obscure topics about deladier and right wing movements in france?)

Sec A - Parnell - grand. would have preferred davitt but still got good essay out. Ulster unionist opp was there also!
Sec B -Inter-party as predicted i did. neutral ireland was there also!

extremly well covered for both these sections everything i had predicted came up.

Sec C - well, to put it mildly bastards. Really ****ed us over. The tsars was only nicholas- my worst tsar. So i went for causes of ww1 and i wrote 1 page 1 para waffle. i wouldnt mind if bismarck came up and be conned out of it with that fair enough. But to not put on bismarck or r france is inhuman. Has it happened before? I did bank on france and never had a backup, if i did it would have been russia so would have been fuked anyway.

sec D - consolidation i did. Cold war came up aswel which i predicted.

meh overall i'm pleased. I'd say i got b3/c1 just cos i left out that essay and prob would have got a1 if france had of been there.

what the hell was that question on med theatre? and german weapons ww2 - they were stupid questions.

kind of regret not doing E on daviitt instead of special topic. i knew him sooo good. I only got 2 and bit pages on special topic and page on 2nd part.

I did an absolutely dire Parnell essay, haven't studied him since xmas tests in fifth year. I was just so sure Davitt was coming up!
Inter-Party was fine, Hitler's consolidation grand
But as for section C..........
Couldn't have imagined a worse selection. The only one we did in class out of the lot was the Tsars but I didn't study it. Attempted International relations one but made a complete bags of it.
Fairly disappointed I have to say. Definitely not getting my first two CAO choices after this.

It wasn't a bad paper at all. I started with the Special Topic and Did a nice essay on Stalin. Then I did the First Interparty Government essay but I didn't realy answer the question properly I gave an account of what happened and realised hlaf way through the essay that I was menat to discuss the successes and failures so I continued on with the account and did a paragraph to how each of the things I described earlier was a sucess or a failure. Then I waffled my way through Parnell and I wrote about a page on the eastern Question. I'm happy with it. I don't think I failed. I'd say D1 - C1. I'm Glad it's over.

Prefect paper for me, didn't even do my research topic cause davitt was there. Please tell me you followed my advice and did brit reform....i almost panicked when i didn't see france there. Reform is an easy essay, read it twice and it stuck in my head cause it has parts related to other sections.

No cultural nationalsimm eh?eh? i take back what i said yesterday, i did davitt insead of specialist topic(which was sh*te) cultural, inter party, hitler and bulled eastern question, hurrah!
