    Tom,

Give us the Specs of your old PC, and we'll be able to offer much more advice. For instance, if your PC was old PII / PIII, you can replace it with something much better for 250 yoyos.

goto the For Sale board and see what is available

This fella is selling a skt 775 3.2ghz for an asking price of 150 yoyos, you can get a skt 775 mobo from komplett for 85 yoyos

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=303313&cks=PRL

and a PSU for 30-70 yoyos

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.asp?bn=10159&sortBy=p&minprice=&maxPrice=

Cannot emphasise enough how important a decent PSU is, so I would find a bit extra for a good one.

You'll need to check your memory, as your old could be a 533FSB or 800FSB. If it is 533 then your memory will prob be 133 (533 / 4) and won't work with this new chip.....meaning you'll have to buy some new memory....also for this new mobo to fit in your existing case, your old mobo would have to be an ATX mobo....not a dell one for instance.....

I'd borrow a PSU from someone, just to make sure that them peeps are right..
