Well, next year's Champion Chase is down one contender already. John Hales is paying for PN's greed for the trainer's title by getting Az an overreach injury (which might even have began with that mistake at the water at Cheltenham) which will keep him out all next season. Explains his lifeless loss to Well Chief, but in honesty, it's a shame the horse is paying for the trainer and owner's error.

I think it's safe to say that we've seen the last of him at Cheltenham, as he'll be 10 by March 2007 and beyond improving.
