Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can see that team working really well together, Ronaldinho's tough tackling in the centre of the park and Zidane's uncanny ability to sniff out attacks early would keep out the best attacks in the world.

I think there's a good balance in my team between attack and defence

Case n basket: Your team is far too attackin, there's no way you could have Zidane, Ronaldinho and Nedved there is a massive lack natural wide players in that team.

Makelele the true un-sung hero of the Chelsea team!

What, no Carragher in all these teams? Gotta be in there going by current form.

He has to make the England team before he could make a world team. :)

Still wouldn't put Carragher ahead of Terry or Rio.

any team that includes Gattuso loses all credibility.
incredibly a lot of you pick him.
he's not even the best midfielder at his club FFS

when I watch Milan play it dumbfounds me how this guy even gets a game.

"nothing more than a journeyman" according to Dunphy.

    Must be true so.

I believe everything Dunphy says. He said Ireland were not good enought to qualify for the last world cup and was proved right!!!

Gattuso has a teriffic workrate but i chose Makelele over him beacuse of his passing. He starts off every chelsa attack!

If Makelele was still at Madrid he'd be in everyones team. People are just reluctant to add too many Chelsea players. :)

Bowser's team looks very good. I think Puyol is overrated though and of course I'd have Duff over Robben. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 45 Bowser

Duff V Robben is definitely dabateable! I cant think of another right back that has impressed me this season other than Puyol. Well the other one was actually Gary Neville! I think he has had his best season in a long time for United.

I know what you mean about Makelele playing for Madrid. He was the only Chelsea player that impressed me agains Liverpool on Tuesday.

I still don't like Makalele, but I don't want to argue it here because I know I'm in the minority.

I thought Gudjohnsen played very well on Tuesday, if that last minute strike had gone in it would have topped of his performance nicely.

Carragher would be one of the first subs on the England team sheet because of his versatility.

Maybe you should read people's posts properly. The team in the quote isn't mine. My team is more defensive than yours (similar back line, Nedved instead of Robben, Vieira instead of Shevchenko), personally I think that your team would be murdered by mine, Makelele can't hold down midfield all on his own, and I don't see Robben, Joaquin, Ronaldinho, Henry or Shevchenko waying in with many tackles.

Its not a current form team its a dream team - Carragher has a long way to go before being in the top 2 Centre Halfs in the world. He would have to improve his overall game, passing, control and being comofrtable with ball at his feet.

Why is Adriano getting so much praise and being put in dream teams straight away. He has had a good season but he's not even top scorer in the italian league! I dont think he warrants staring IMO.

Adriano still has a fair bit to do before i'd put him in the very top tier of world strikers. (ie Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo and Shevchenko)

    .......................Czech

    .........Carra Ferdianand Nesta

    ................Gerrard Alonso

    Joaquin......Aimar.....Ronaldinhio....Duff

    ......................Ronaldo

Just give the ball to the middle of the park and let them play. Defenders just break up play and then watch the Midfield attack.

This season he has scoerd 25 in 37 competitive games so far with Inter.
Last season he scored 21 in 31 competitive games with Parma & Inter.
In 2002/2003 season hed scored 17 in 30 competitive games with Parma.
Thats more than 1 good season. He is 1 of the best strikers around at the moment and this is why the likes of Chelsea and Real are interested.

These stats came from the Inter site and inclued Serie A, European and Coppa Italia games.

Dunno, on that basis i'd more inclined to go for one of these boyos:

    1 Alberto Gilardino 22 Parma
    2 Cristiano Lucarelli 22 Livorno

Look at the teams they play for! :)

its not always based on goals scored though. Maybe if they played in the champions league and got more exposure they would be in people dream teams!
