Its great for text based web sites like boards but for graphically intensive the images aren't great, though you can download the original image with a click.

Boards is as fast as on my broadband connection before i moved house into the broadband wilderness.

Anyway. Marks 9 / 10

It actually does work.

Anybody else tried it.

Don't knock it yet aidan.
I knew there'd be people like you talking know it all rubbish without seeing somthing yourself.
I was skeptical but it helps.
If you bother your arse to find out how this particular product works as opposed to the other rubbish out there then you would see why it works.
I have nothing to gain by letting people know that there is somthing that can help them speed up dial up a bit.
All i wanted to do was draw some attention to this for those who cant get broadband.
If you dont think it'll work then fine with me, but please find out what your talking about before dissing somthing that could help.

Lets see... disadvantages...

Images look like crap. It has no affect on already compressed files, such as 95% of all files on the internet. NO speed increase on mp3's, video files, zips, rar's, exe's etc.

Small increase on webpages, but tahts because images get rejigged to crap quality generally.

It depends on your browsing style.

If you are linear - go to a page and read from the top down to the bottom before going to the next one - then they are ok.

In a tabbed browser like FireFox if you open new tabs in the background as you browse through a page then the accelerator could slow you down.
