Pretty darn expensive: Thorntons, L'Ecrivan, Shanahans, One Pico, Guillbauds, Rolys, Locks, La Stampa

Mid-range: La Mere Zou, Bang Cafe, Diep Le Shaker, Rubicon, Chili Club, Fitzers

Cheap: Pasta Fresca, Odessa (maybe not totally cheap), Cafe Bar Deli, Milanos (not exactly romantic but I like it!), Chatham Brasserie, the Clarendon

Hope this helps....the cheap ones aren't terribly impressive for a first date but they're all yummy!

Vermillion in Terenure is excellent. Fantastic Indian food with really good service and a warm atmosphere. Reasonably priced too I think.

Aqua in howth is nice, but you'd need to be at leats 25 as the atmosphere is tranquil to say the least, but the view across Dublin bay is superb.

Cruzos on Malahide Marina - midrange prices, lovely location. Just make sure they don't have a wedding booked the same night!

Also, there's a sticky so you can do your own homework, at the top of the forum page.
