Quest with people who are already in one, ask them can you join.
Start your own and ask people to sign the charter.

I started a character on Bladefist and was asked to join 3 different guilds in the first 2 hours.

I've a character on DB aswell, 41 hunter (dagonet). I'm in a guild called blue moon, 120 members including alts (probably at least 30+ alts), about 6 or 7 lvl 60's with a few close to it.

Not sure if we let just anyone join though, just ask around in IF saying you are looking for a guild (in general) and you'll probably get 3 or 4 /w's.
