Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just caught the very end of the Chelsea game. Makelele was well deserving of that goal, scoring in style! What an awful penalty, and the rebound was even worse... but they all count! Great way to score your first goal, funny stuff :D

So its 3 in and 3 out for next season:

In: LB: Zambrotta/ Del Horno/ Kaladze/ Janqualkski (spl?)
    MF: Xavi/ SWP/ Joaquin/ Marscherona

    ST: Adriano/ Schevchenko/ Martins/ Crespo (though I v much doubt it)

    Out:

    Geremi? Kezman Smertin.

as good as chelsea have done this year, i dont believe that english teams have any chance of signing players like zambrotta, nesta or shevchenko.

i have a friend who is a huge ac milan supporter and he laughs at the english game and thats a tone echoed by the really big stars in italy.

and yes there have been some big names to come to england from italy but they were either in their 30's or had failed over there. with veron and crespo being notable exceptions.

i think joaquin will move to chelsea and im still unsure as to where crespo will end up, he has scored some vital goals for milan but i personally feel he may want to move, as he has hardly been sensationally in italy.

also im not sure what the last word was on the cole situation was but i still think that will happen.

I think Joaquin will go to Madrid, according to reports Essien deal is being finalised, Mourinho said all the signings will be done before July 6th.

    DiMatteo was the exception.

But one could argue that in recent years no big English names have gone to Italy. And there are plenty good enough to make the move. Who was the last high profile one? Paul Ince?

Italian players rarely stray outside Italy anyway. And the reasons I would say that they dont come to England would be climate and cultural ones over footballing ones. Would you swap Milan/Turin/Rome for Manchester or Liverpool?

Xavi will not go to Chelsea.
