crumb release their first single 'Follow Me Home" from their acclaimed debut album 'Evenings & Weekends'. The Irish Times have described crumb as a ‘guitar pop tour de force’ and Road Records have described them as a cross between Teenage Fanclub, The Go-Betweens and The Byrds. This single will be available to download from their website. Other information and reviews can be got from http://www.crumbmusic.com

To celebrate the launch of their single, the pop merchants are playing a gig with the equally brilliant Large Mound and House of Mexico.

Crumb, Large Mound & House of Mexico
    Mother Redcaps Tavern*

    * This will be one of the last gigs to be played in Mother Redcaps Tavern as it is getting pulled down shortly. (another venue bites the dust)

    Band info

Irish rock fans' most cherished possession Large Mound play just their second gig of 2005. Their plans for the next while included a short tour in Canada, a DVD release and plenty of songwriting. Gigs in Dublin were the last things on their minds but when Crumb asked all that changed. The acclaimed 2004 album "Go Forth And Amplify" has just gone on sale in the UK and stocks of Large Mound's first album "Raised On Rock" are down to the last 3 or 4 copies. Let's face it unless somebody shows up with wheelbarrow full of cash it's unlikely that it will be available again as a physical CD. Other band info & reviews: http://www.largemound.com

    House of Mexico
The bastard children of Robert Schneider and Pete Kember, House of Mexico make music that lies somewhere between psychedelic fuzzpop and Enid Blyton's Mountain of Adventure. Having made their debut on Earworm Records in 2002, and getting playlist approval from the late, great John Peel andother indie connoisseurs in Europe and the United States, they're still doing it for the kids but mostly for themselves. Their 7" single on The Great Pop Supplement that is now completely SOLD OUT!!! Their next release is an as-yet-untitled ep in June and they are also featured on the forthcoming tribute to The June Brides, which features The Jasmine Minks, Manic Street Preachers, The Tyde, The Television Personalities and The Legend! amongst many others.
