I've started MTB racing this year; so far I've done 3 races in the National series around the country. I race in the bottom category (Sports) and so far have been racing against completion of the course rather than actually trying to beat other riders. The standard of the top riders (elites) is unbelievable - the speed and durability of these guys over really rough ground is awesome. Some of the bikes on show are superb too.

If you think the daily commute makes you fit - come racing :-)
