Ok I'm a newbie to linuz and recently acquired a decent box to install Linux on. The Specs are:
    PIII 750
    256 MB Ram
    Integrated Video
    20Gb Hdd

Anyways I checked the Minumum specs for Fedora and it seems be match whats required

It installed no problem with a GUI, i could log in fine etc, no problems there. But when it came to navigating folders etc. there seems to be a major problem. When i open a window, it opens with just the frame of the window visable(1) and nothing else, then when i drag the mouse over the window the icons for folders etc will appear, but it still wont 'fill out' the rest of the window(2). And when i click on, say, a folder, the new window will open with the old one still visable through it(3). This makes navigating next to impossible.

So i rebooted thinking it could be a first time boot problem or something but then i got these screens(4, 5), only for a few seconds after i logged in, then the normal desktop and the same problems as before.

So i uninstalled and reinstalled but the same problem persisted. Any ideas on the problem or how to solve it?

    Cheers for any help

    JB

    First thing to do:

Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf in a graphical text editor and paste all the contents here.

Also, what integrated video card is it? Intel 810? 845?

And lastly, you might see the other Fedora post a few threads down, for a similar problem.

Its an intel 810, sorry forgot to mention that.

    # no need to change the default.
    # Multiple frontpath enteries are allowed (they are concatinated together)
    # By default, Red Hat 6.0 and later now use a font server independant of
#the X server to render fonts
    RgbPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb"
    FontPath "unix/:7100"

#If you have a US MicroSoft Natural Keyboard, you can use:
    # Option "XkbModel" "microsoft"

    # Then to cahnge the language, change the layout setting.
    # For example a german layout can be obtained with:
