    Tue, 10 May 2005 18:03:42 GMT
    1st 128K took 359 ms = 365103 Bytes/sec = approx 3038 kbits/sec
    2nd 128K took 344 ms = 381023 Bytes/sec = approx 3170 kbits/sec
    3rd 128K took 359 ms = 365103 Bytes/sec = approx 3038 kbits/sec
    4th 128K took 359 ms = 365103 Bytes/sec = approx 3038 kbits/sec

These results appear to be rather fast: maybe this page was in the browser cache.

I love the text at the bottom of the test, err no mate, nothing in the browser cache :)
And, I can now get into the modem config page for the first time.

Yeah, we talked before when NTL were taking our phones away!!!

I'm in the top half of the estate. The downloads seem to be working fine for me. I'm hitting about 230kb/s.

Hmmmm..... I'm very up and down speedwise:

    1st 128K took 579 ms = 226377 Bytes/sec = approx 1883 kbits/sec
    2nd 128K took 391 ms = 335223 Bytes/sec = approx 2789 kbits/sec
    3rd 128K took 345 ms = 379919 Bytes/sec = approx 3161 kbits/sec
    4th 128K took 438 ms = 299251 Bytes/sec = approx 2490 kbits/sec

irishisptest is jumping between 500 and 2900kbits/s

Hopefully just teething trouble.... anyone else experiencing anything similar?.

    yep

i'm on the max package for the 3 month trial, and it has been bumped up alright. Must admit that there really isn't much noticable difference in speeds, i guess you can only download as quickly as the 'servers' on the other end allow, and its making shag all difference to before.

1 or 2mg I think is enough for the moment, not going to waste my money on the 3mgs!

i;ve been on the talkin arse - this thing is flyin now! Yeehaw!

Don't know wht speed I have now - varies from test to test
test results from irishisptest.com for supposed 3 mb line

    1.88mbps/288kbps
    1.84 / 287
    1.83 / 288

Better stop testing before speed goes down to 0

average download 208kbs - if this stays like this then might as well downgrade to 2mb. Though I notice at work our 4mb dsl line seems to average 3mb speeds.
