    Hi,
Anyone got a fool proof brown soda bread recipe? The recipe I use is casserole baked and I am not that fond of it. I's prefer a loaf tin recipe, one that uses oatflakes would be great. BTW how do I know if my loaf tin is 1lb or 2lb?
    Thanks.

the recipe i use is: 225g Wholemeal flour
    225g Plain Flour
    1 tsp Bread Soda
    pinch of salt
    1 tbsp cooking oil
    1 tbsp treacle
    1 egg
    350ml buttermilk
Basically mix all the dry ingredients together. Mix the egg, buttermilk, treacle and oil together then mix that into the dry ingreidients and make a soft dough. Then just put it into your tin put some seasme seeds on top if you got em then into the oven 190c for 45 mins!
Give it shot its a good recipe!
Good luck tell me how it turns out!
