Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hand of God bridge would have been cool - if several countries could have agreed to go for the same title with their campaigns...

I wonder if they'll have a competition to name an end at the new Wembley. No need to go outside their own beloved England.

Colin Bell is their man! ;)

Wasn't he the last person to score at the old Wembley in the 1-0 loss to Germany? I assume that is the joke. Lets hope he gets it.

Not that its much of a surprise, but the judging committee have decided to ignore all the "anti-English" ones.

It is down to 5 contenders, as follows:

    The Sir Alf Ramsey Bridge
    The Sir Bobby Charlton Bridge
    The Sir Geoff Hurst Bridge
    The Live Aid Bridge
    The White Horse Bridge.

The White Horse one is after a white horse named 'Billie', ridden by PC George Scorey, who attempted to restore order when 200,000 attended the 1923 FA Cup final.

There already is a Bobby Moore Bridge close to Wembley, so that's why he's not an option. BBC 5 Live are now running the official vote that will decide on the name.
